High School Newspaper Students Attend Annual GSSPA Conference

Yasher koach to our editors, reporters and writers of The Flame, GOA’s award-winning high school newspaper, who attended Rutgers University for Fall Press Day today, the GSSPA’s (Garden State Scholastic Press Association) annual state conference for New Jersey’s journalism students, teachers and advisers along with Mr. Roberts, Upper School Language Arts and Social Studies teacher, and Mr. Langer, Upper School Language Arts teacher, faculty advisor to the The Flame and GSSPA board member.

The event featured dozens of workshop opportunities over the course of the morning and afternoon and the day was packed with advice from professional journalists, networking with more than 600 NJ high school newspaper students from around the state, writing contests and awards.
