Gan Science Class Demonstrates The Insulating Qualities of Arctic Animal Blubber

Gan students are learning how animals in the Arctic Ocean stay warm with blubber. Yesterday, they did an experiment with Mrs. Feldman and Ms. Anna, each student submerging one hand in a plain ziplock bag in cold water and the other hand in a ziplock bag that simulated blubber in cold water. Their sensory experiences helped them understand how animals stay warm in cold environments.
