You will eat and be satisfied, then you shall bless the Eternal.”  (Deut. 8:10)

“Lunch is a great time to hang out with friends…or get extra help from a teacher.”  (Anonymous 12th grader)

At Golda Och Academy, Upper School students have a 55 minute lunch period.  Students may bring lunch, (kosher dairy or parve), from home, or they may order lunch through the Student Government Association sponsored lunch program.

This year our lunch program offers dairy/pareve lunches on Monday and Friday and meat lunches on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.  All students are expected to follow dietary laws and seat themselves at the appropriate tables on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday when meat lunches are served. Carvel is offered on Friday.

Lunch is a very busy time at Golda Och Academy.  Teachers offer “clinics” during lunch so students can get their questions answered, get help with their homework or catch up on work they may have missed.  In addition, most of our clubs meet at lunch time which enables students to participate in clubs and athletics.  Lunch time may find the Dance Team rehearsing, the Flame, (our school newspaper), staff working to meet a deadline or students reviewing for a test with their math teacher.
